Title: Bug in Video Tag reading in charts ? Well Maybe ?
Post by: aidey200 on December 23, 2010, 08:20:14 AM
(Previous posted in General Discusion)

The Charts work brill but I have a few tracks that just won't get picked up and I can't see whats wrong .. ?

Katy Perry is a good example ?

The History text file is looking for ......(cut and pasted)
"Katy Perry","Teenage Dream",down.gif

And heres the videos Tag (cut and pasted)
<NonMP3Tag>
   <Artist>Katy Perry</Artist>
   <Title>Teenage Dream</Title>
   <Album>Teenage Dream</Album>
   <Band></Band>
   <Track></Track>
   <Year></Year>
   <Genre></Genre>
   <CommentTitle></CommentTitle>
   <CommentText></CommentText>
   <Seconds></Seconds>
   <Duration></Duration>
</NonMP3Tag>

And yet it won't show in the charts but shows up fine on the selection screen ?

The Pc has been rebuilt, I've removed + re-tagged files and re-installed Freebox and it still doesn't pick them up, and yet they are there perfectly named to match the history file ?

Has no one else seen / have this problem ?
I've carried out the same process for every video.
1) Created a folder the same name as the video name
    d:\video\Katy Perry - Teenage Dream
2) Copied the mpeg into folder
    d:\video\Katy Perry - Teenage Dream\Katy Perry - Teenage Dream.mpg
3) Created the non mp3 tag file which is also in the same directory
4) Copied a Jpeg for the artwork
5) Ran the config to generate the database (twice)

Is there anything else I can try ?
Sorry for being a pain but when this is cracked i'm away no more issues

I am attempting to recreate this now for you... It's an odd one.

Just downloaded that video and put it in my library and it seems to work fine for me. Have you played the video? Try playing the video then going into the charts and see if it highlights up while it's playing.

Thanks for the Help Barry ....

It is odd i don't think anyone else is having an issue. You don't have PRE files generated do you from before you had that video availble.

Sorry you've lost me pre ? previous ? files

It was a new install with the videos copied across from my other pc
so just video, tag, jpeg (for the covers) was copied accross ?

There's around 1270 Videos on there at the moment

Cheers

You can generate PRE files that basically link the tracks to the charts but if you have not created these then it's not that... It's looking like i might need to create a specific debug version for you to see what is happening.

Got home early  ;D

"Try playing the video then going into the charts and see if it highlights up while it's playing"

I've tried 5 and none of them highlight in the charts  :downer
