Title: Normalize MP3's
Post by: Sparky23 on January 27, 2008, 09:27:04 PM
Anyone here use a program to normalize their mp3 collections. Something that works good without having to reencode or loss of quality?

Thanks for any help,
Sparky

What settings has everyone been using with MP3Gain?

I have been using Track Gain and a target normal volume of 95dB.

Some albums it ends up increasing the dB, and some it decreases.  Seems like a good in between setting.

Thats part of my regular plan.

Insure files are tagged properly
Mp3gain to normalize albums
Find album cover
Place in correct Band folder

Im using the default of 89, but have thought about raising it to 95 or so. 16000+ files so far and everything seems to work fine.
