Hi Guys,
A small tip for you as it is Sunday morning and I am bored. Yesterday I was getting fed up of Sim City crashing out on me while I tried doing certain things. I found this useful tip, if you are on a CPU that has multiple cores, it may even stop any crashes with eTouch if you ever have had any.
Firstly load the program, that you are having trouble with.
Second, press ctrl alt and delete, then click on task manager
Third, in processes, find the program, in this case we shall say etouch.exe
Fourth, right click and select SET AFFINITY you will see how many cores you have running, you can reduce the number down to just one core for more stability.
Remember that a lot of programs, especially older ones were designed to work on single cores only.
Hope this helps someone in the future.
Regards
Mark
