Ok, I'm really confused about this. I'm using the latest version of e-touch on 32 bit windows 7. When I run the program normally I can use the menu button on the 1600x900 skin to bring up options such as search etc. however none of my music or covers are present all I see on the album cover page are blank boxes name label1. When I run as admin my music and covers are there but the menu button is missing. Also in the setup screen the check boxes on appearance settings are checked but greyed out, in normal mode you can toggle these on and off.  ??? ??? ??? ???

Sorry, i'm new to this, what's a cov file. I've uploaded 2 screenshots for you to see. As I'm baffled by this.

This is when run as admin

This is when run as normal

As you can see the menu bar is there on normal mode but not when run in admin mode.

Hmmm, I run this is 32 Bit Windows 7 all of the time, so I'm not sure why you would be seeing this. Try going into "Change User Account Control Settings" in Control Panel/System and Security/Action Center, move the slider all the way to the bottom and try running the jukebox again and see if that solves anything. Looks to be a PC specific issue.

coffee

This is very strange and it's the first time I see this.

When not in admin it can't see the local files and this is why you have the issue where the covers don't show. When you run it in admin then it uses the skins button settings and that button isn't enabled... I think this is what is happening, try removing the button settings ini file and running in admin. Should be fine then.

You would need "morebutton.ini" and "menu.ini".

thanks coffee, ive deleted those but still no joy. ive turned off uac control, ive tried reinstalling and still no joy. truly miffed.

djmarkhill

ok. im getting somwhere, i opened the ini file with notepad and changed the name of the gif file to one of the others and it appeared and then renamed it back to menu_beel.gif and i'm nearly sorted. The only thing now in the buttons that appear pressing this aren't the gif's. they look like they are from an old version of windows.

djmarkhill

righ then delring the menu.ini sorted it, however the buttons don't appear properly can you tell me what needs amending in the menu.ini file please.

According to this ini your button size is 90 x90 pixels and it is located 3 pixels from the left and 10 pixels from the top.

I think you need to check the morebutton.ini file.

Also check out these setting as in Eist's post.

The ini file i was refering to is the one that disables the buttons on a per skin setting. This is why you see the enable buttons checkboxes greyed out. I can't remeber the name of it right now.

locked_button.ini is the one to delete...

Re-install the skin and just delete that file then run as admin and it should work, not sure if anyone said but it works better if it's not installed into program files on windows 7.

ok, thank you. Very last question then. It's all coming together nice now however I have noticed that I've got very thin lines on the screen but only on certain pages. On the album cover screen you can see these lines down one of the rows of covers. On the options screen when you click on general settings there are alot of lines round the text and check boxes. I've checked all my display settings and I set my screen to the recommended 1600x900 click apply an ok, but when i load the 1600x900 cover and go back to my display settings on windows it has altered it to 1440x900. Is this the reason for the lines? and how do I stop it. The lines I'm talking about almost look like interference however, they don't appear on all other screens, such as the appearance screen or the animation screen, it's just the album cover screen and the general settings screen, so I know it's not the monitor.
