Title: Potential site for music video downloads
Post by: justtaint on April 22, 2008, 10:22:43 PM
I just read a short blurb in the business section of last Thursday's Chicago Tribune describing a joint venture between Will Smith and 3 of the 4 big record companies.  www.pluggedin.com (http://www.pluggedin.com) boasts that it has 10,000 music videos in great quality.  I checked it out for about 15 minutes, and it looks like it has potential.  The only drawback is that they only stream, you can't download (but I'm sure some clever individual will find a way around that).  It looks like most of the videos are just footage from concerts, not the actual videos that you'd expect MTV or VH1 to play.

I know YouTube has a ton of music videos but most are of such crappy quality that it isn't worth trying to download them.   Hopefully this will be a source in the future for our jukeboxes.
