There is a handy little freebie out there called Powerbullet Presenter.

I knocked this up earlier for the attract mode.

There was a jingle generator that let you use text to speech and create a jingle with music. I wanted to make a few for Balloons Bar where my Juke is installed that I use for the karaoke nights and is used by the public in the week. I wanted to use the fixed up jingle feature to play a jingle advertising the bar every 5 songs but i don't want it to show the flash file with just silence. I do have jingles myself from when i was on Radio Nova but the advertise that station, not muse for the bar.

This is the one that used to work.

Just waiting on a price...

I have placed an order here... Seem pretty reasonable. If they are good quality i think I will get a few more.

Audio, both an ident and a drywipe. I need to add support for drywipe jingles to E-Touch, you could quite easilly add these to a video.

drywipe now im lost  ???

as i said earlier sounds like a good time to do a youtube promo video or something
so we could see these new attract mode options working or these options are going
to be hidden to the average user
i guess there realy for the operaters but like me i love all the attract options stuff
realy adds some modern bling to the juke ;D

Ident is the words with samples... A more traditional radio jingle. A drywipe is just the voice and is typically played over the intro of a track.

EDIT:
Maybe i ment Dryline.

These also provide a simular service.

Sweeper/Ident seem interchangable...

I like the idea of a sweeper that could be configured to play say between tracks every 3,4 or 5th track depending on how often you wanted to hear it.

It's in the latest beta, turn on jingles and set how many songs you want in between it. You need to point it to a folder with some mp3 jingles/sweepers/idents in and it will work.

It was only fixed to work correctly in the last beta anyway but it has been there for a long while.

Got the jingles, they are ok but i think i should have paid for longer phrases. Also they really need crossfading support to use them well.... Hmmm.....

Anyway I will order some more, so consider this a recommendation for the guy.

I finnaly got my swf files working and just right and ready for release(well almost).  The only thing I have a problem with is that when etouch activates the attract mode the screen goes white for half a second maybe then it will play the swf.  Doesn't look good especially when its switch thru swf files.  Any ideas how I can clean this up more guys?

GREAT!!!  Thanks barry is there away to have the etouch wait until the swf finish plying then sart the next file.  because right now using the attract delay either cuts off a file or stays on a while after the sfw finished.  Just asking these swf are simple to make and gives alot of eye candy while the jukebox is idle. Thank again. :beer

There isn't a way to detect if they have finished playing unfortunately. Maybe if you had a html page and used some scripting you could do it.

I just set attract delay to 20 and made my flash files so that the page delay fit this length of time with the last page having no delay set.

Also as far as the path is concerned (I think that was mentioned in a PM) it is set in the attract options, and mine is obviously set to C:/E-Touch Jukebox 9/Attract.

Ok now i have 2 swf files.  One is named 'a' and the other 'b'.  Im guessing it should go a.swf then b.swf and loop over and over.  But to my surprise it doesn't. It sometimes repeat b or may repeat a. Anything im doing wrong.

This is probably why you are seeing the white page, you need to make sure you have specified the correct path for the attract mode files.

You can copy the path from the explorer bar and past it into e-touch. It is working here and i can play the touchgeni swf file fine for my attract from the attract_mode folder.

that exactly what i tried and still no luck.  can it be my swf's going to try the how to.swf with the latest beta. hope I have better luck.
one question at the end of the folder path  should I add a '\'?  example C:\E-Touch Jukebox 9\Attract\ or just C:\E-Touch Jukebox 9\Attract

O.K. what I am saying is my path for attract is C:\E-Touch Jukebox 9\Attract\

I am running under W7 and the only thing I have checked under compatibility is run as administrator.

OK been experimenting and managed to duplicate your problem. I had some old jpg in the attract folder and once I deleted these, the attract mode would not play the flash files.

Try just putting a random jpg in your attract folder with the flash files and I'll think you'll find it will start working. It won't play the jpg, just the flash files.

Because it is random so you will see more than others, are you saying you want the option to cycle them rather than them being random?
Title: Re: Flash Files for Attract
Post by: Risim on August 23, 2015, 01:44:11 PM
Yeah i think a cycle is much better.  The way it is now it repeats too much the same file. In a cycle we have more control.  If i want to repeat one I'll just have two of the same swf.

Doesn't matter checked or unchecked it only shows now playing screen once. If another user adds ti queue another song while one is playing it wont return to now playing screen.  It just stays on the album view.

Ok i have 4 swf files done and man if anyone hasnt tried this take the time and do it, especially commercial guys.  This gives a real pro look to your jukebox.  Random isnt so bad now but it still repeats the larger file more than anyother.  But i mean maybe 3 times that same file before switch.  Can u clean that up a bit like if this file play move on or skip for one random pick.  If not its ok I really do love it. Should be releasinf this to my boxes this week. :beer

I take it you can access the jukeboxes via a usb stick? All what you need to do is download shockwave flash and then install onto the computers and hope that will do the trick.

Just download from here https://get.adobe.com/shockwave/

Save to memory stick and then presto. I know your in Australia but not that bloody hard. I am not sure if you have heard of wireless but buy a wireless dongle, get the wireless key from the place do any downloads and go. How do you update the music library? If you have to travel 50km every trip you are better buying a dongle for each machine anyway. I would say stop running windows xp if you are download a torrent of windows 7, use the patch and if you are using it as just a jukebox it will run fine.

Windows XP is dead and unless you get with technology a 50 year old computer running a jukebox is not going to work for you, and that is not just you, I know someone else that runs XP the cabinet that I brought had XP I wanted to future proof it and I had 11 hard drives 6 in one 5 in another, I tried the XP to surf the net it was so slow I gave up.

I am blunt as hell, and a visual basic jukebox running a 15 year old operating system which is no longer supported is a no go. Visual basic is dead as it is, but it does a job, but compare that to C++ etc on a modern computer, it works a lot faster.

As the saying goes you need to spend money to make money, unless you do then you will be stuck in the mud.

Hi guys been very busy and away for awhile but I just finished my xmas skins and updating my swf files.  I think etouch resized each image in the attract folder to full size(when it displays it), right?   Does it do this with swf files?
Guacho do you have this problem: even though you have the swf file dimension to match your screen it stills show up short on etouch?  By short I mean either height or width is not exact and you see white edges.

Morning Ris,

I have done different sizes for different skins and they seem fine. They have to be the same size as the album view window which is different for example in Genie compared to Touch Elements.
