Hi Barry,
           Im gathering ideas for my next skin project, do you know if etouch will support 3D animated gifs?

Animated gifs are not supported for the buttons sorry.

Ive just got hold of a bit of software the helps you create 3D buttons, so my idea for my next skin is to have the buttons in 3D effect or dont have a button but have just the 3D font instead

3D images should work fine as long as they are .gif or .jpg.
