Adding new music

Is there a way to add new music files to the database without having to generate the entire data base again? I have 8000+ songs and if I am adding one or two and have to regenerate, it takes about 3-4 minutes. If I hit the update button, it is only showing the first song in the DB. I'm sure I am doing something wrong in regards to updating, but I've had no luck figuring it out. Granted, I have a small number of tries since after I fail, I have to generate the DB again and it takes time.

You should be able to use the update function and it will add the new tracks, i normally just regereate it.
