coin mech virgin

im new to setting coin mech with etouch
im not a total coin mech virgin only with etouch
im wanting to use a kim module and asign my credit with f1 key
but when i open credit module it doesnt let me select a key
it will not highlite/select

1/ You cannot use the Function keys F1-F12 you need to use a letter or number and this must be uppercase.

2/ If you cannot select the letters in the drop down combo boxes in the credit module you need to put it in admin mode.

tried admin put the code 1234 but just goes to normal
nothing different and will not let me map a key just stays
on not set

I just hit switch to admin mode and then select a key after which I press save and pres admin buton again to switch it to normal.  Works for me!!

when i press admin mode a small keypad comes up
i put in default key 1234 just goes back to same the
keys will not let me remap just stays at not set the
save button does not seem to be active

ok getting there i just pressed enter after admin didnt
put 1234 in and its letting me in know
think ill be ok from here

Yeah, thank right sorry I forgot to tell you to just press enter on the keypad.  Dont forget to save your settings.

yes i can get in ok but when i remap a coin to a key
it doesnt work when you select in on keyboard
anyhow out for a beer will go back to it tomorrow

I always asign caps:
e.g if you want 'a' just map 'A' it will work best
a quick note I always use letters for me coins and bills.

ticked coin settings in setup
in the credit module selected admin enter selected caps on selected A press
save come out of admin and shows A remap key value set -1 x-1 gives -1
press a with caps on nothing happens no credit given

also the A is not saved when i restart

Really!? Huh, it works for me I cant think of anything else.  Make sure you enable the credit modual in coin settings once you do you should see 30 credits in album view.  I ussualy press clear credits in coin settings and try to select a song.  In play option screen there should be no button displayed (e.g add to queue) if buttons are displayed you might have the lic file thet Barry sent you (assuming you have one) in the wrong place or as was once my case have it named wrong. It should read licence.lic and should be in etouch7 folder.
Sorry I couldn't be much more help maybe somebody else could give more insight.

yeah thanks for trying it seems im doing everything you mentioned and as far as im aware
im doing it right
is there anything outside the software that might be a problem

strange the only way i can get it to work is using the same key number in the drop
down as i asigned for forward on my remote come to think of it that is what i allways
use for my remote on all my etouch jukes because its the only key that i can get to work
on all my instals
i dont want to lose my remote function for credit
