To Update or Generate.....that is the question

I have my MP3 collection split across 2 hard drives on a server.  On my jukebox I have both drives mapped with a drive letter.  I ran "Generate" on the first drive and it scanned all the albums / added them to the database.

In order to add the contents of the second drive to the database should I point the config to it and then click on Generate or Update ?

I'm thinking Generate but would that eliminate the data already in there ?.
