Multiple RDP Jukebox Sessions From One Server (Jukebox)!!!!

Ok Have been working on this most of the night and finally got this to work... I have my main jukebox running RDP and RDP Web Server (built in via IIS) I also got the hack for XP to allow as many concurrent RDP connections as you want on one PC/server (up 99999). So I had the main jukebox (server) playing a song, I then RDP'd into it from my laptop and opened up Freebox and played a song on the laptop, without really any sound issues (I have a slow jukebox PC) but I played both at the same time using the same exe's/dll's. The only thing I thought would happen was that the Queue's would be the same on both since they were using the same files/folders, but the Queue only updated when I closed the RDP jukebox and reopened it. But maybe Barry could change how the jukebox reads the files, or this may change when it starts using the database version. And the other issue is for some reason in the RDP session the jukebox does not go full screen, but it is set for full screen in the options. But pretty excited that you can now technically use a "dumb" (no jukebox installed) PC and run the jukebox on it with one music jukebox server holding all exe's, dll's and music library!! So technically just get the Linux RDP client, rDesktop, and you can run it on a Linux mini PC (I don't have a linux PC to test on). Here are the links to the RDP hack for multiple users, and the RDP Web setup:

Note: Each separtate RDP session needs to have it's own username

Also need to install this after installing the IIS components

And here is a screenshot of the jukebox in the RDP Web session via Internet Explorer (you can see the jukebox is not full screen, not sure if this can be set somewhere)

Let me know what you guys think, this gives alot more options for the jukebox use...

I used remote desktop from my laptop and connected with out any problems from what barry told me.  I only had two issues, one was it can only play on the jukebox or the laptop, not both.  the other I had to put a password on the jukebox but that it no big deal.

squirrley,

If you use the RDP hack I posted above, it allows multiple connections to the server/jukebox so you can start up as many jukeboxes as you want from the same server jukebox (and play as many as you want at the same time), just need to have a different login name for each session. Here's the link again:

But like I said, it is it's own session, so it does not share a queue with the current jukebox playing on the main jukebox.
