Have you seen this?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130484788539&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Not even opened up my juke to see what coin mech I have in mine but I am thinking of getting one of these so I can use coins. Seems to be straightforward if it's a CR3 or CR5 from what it says.

Maybe you can replace the mech with one of these?

http://www.hazelelectronics.co.uk/electronic_coin_mechanisms.htm

They support the ccTalk protocol.

The coin mech needs to support ccTalk, that is why i listed some.

if anyone needs a cheap diy coin mech solution, herondata jukes use a c220b coin mech connected to an excel credit board (from a pool table by the looks of it!), the meter pulse connects to a keyboard emulator via a wire soldered onto a small custom made keypad...works well

That does sound like an idea set up, how much are those excel credit boards and where do you locate them. If you can post up some pics to help wire that up it would be ideal.

Found some info on those credit boards...

http://www.electricalimited.com/images/Excel-Credit-Board.jpg
http://www.electricalimited.com/images/excel-pc.jpg

There are 2 types, one uses dil switches to set the price of play, and a certain pin on the output side will go +ve to pulse a pc emulator for a keystroke, thus adding a credit.
The other connects to either serial (rs232) or usb, and uses software for price of play, simply collecting data from the mech.

The full name is Excel Modular Credit Board

These boards are also supplied by Suzo Happ, who we all use as our main suppliers for everything related to gaming/amusement parts. Here is the catalogue, you need page 64...
http://www.suzo-americas.com/downloads/suzo_down/Catalogos/SuzoCatalogue2005.pdf

Hope this helps,
Lee

im trying to get a cashflow 330 mech to run via a excel board
but tried various methods but no go ive got 2 of these and same
result no pulse is picked these are comonly used in nsm cabs

i set it up first on a c120 mech everything works fine but
no go with the 330  ???

C120 sends a low pulse, they are easy to hook up with an ipac because of this. The C330 I am not sure how it sends it pulse. Does it not do CCTalk?

no tried that i would use the 120 but the reject port is opisite to the 330
if you get what i mean besides that the juke ive got on ebay belongs to that cab

there must be a mech that fits this cab as there are various nsm conversions out there

You do know there are different C120's the accept coins and reject coins from the top, bottom and front?

Just got back from the footie, expected more response to beta 10... Never mind, back out to Karaoke now so I will check later. The only reason I know about the C120's is i wanted a front load and front reject and brought some and they were top load front reject. I was able to take a hacksaw to them to make them work, not ideal but they did work in the end. You can get the different bezels for the different types.

Mine has a C220B in it, I have yet to attempt to hook that up. It should be interesting LOL. to be honest I might not bother and just sell the thing as it's pretty much gathering dust. Might get more use out of it if i had the wall mounting bracket so I could get it up off the floor.
