Question about how to structure music

I have some directories like 1970, 1980, which each have about 300+ songs.  I have them split into CD01, CD02, CD03, etc.

I only put the album art in 1970, not in each CD01, etc.

Freebox doesn't display it.

Is there a better way to organize these files?  One big directory?

Each folder needs to have an image in it for album art...

say i have "Now Music 54" that's 2 CD's so i have 2 folders...

\now music 54 CD1\
\now music 54 CD2\

Both of those have the now 54 cover in them and both will display it. I recommend sizing the covers down to 320 x 320 as well as a god balance of sped and quality. YMMV

I had cut these huge collections into seperate "CDxx" folders so that another juke program could display them without scroll bars.  Do you think I should put them into one big one?

My "Now thats what they call music" collection is as you describe.

You can put them in one big folder if you so wish, that is a lot of clicking to get to the 100th track of 300th track though isn't it. Personally i think you are better off with them split up.
