Using the Non-MP3 Tagger

I just feel stupid not being able to figure it out.
The old tagger I use is actually called BetaTag from the older versions.
In the listing is shows \artist - title   \album\artist - title  and \artist\album\title
That last option is the one I always use because my videos are just like my albums
Artist Folder then Album Folder then Tracks.

With the "newer" NON-MP3 tagger it has the line %5 - %2 - %1.
Now I understand the % concept completely.....
But it seems it just reads at the Folder level.  So Artist wouldn't be read nor would Album Name.
When I use this tagger, I just go in and type in the Artist do a copy to all (love copy to all!)
and manually fill in anything else needed

Hopefully I'm explaining this alright.....
Another way of looking at it, if I add a new video to say:
Folder "Girls Aloud"
Folder "The Videos"
Then the track - "Something New"
When I'm in the Videos folder - Click Something New
Tell it to Populate from filename - I only get the song title.
It doesn't read the Folder sets to obtain Artist and Album name.
The older betatag - throws everything in, boom - done.
