Genre Selection Bar

I'm busy with a skin on which I want to use the "Genre Selection Bar" which can be permanently displayed on the main page.
Is this "Genre Selection Bar" function still active or working?
How do I select to use it?

I have tried to use the Genre Screen and I've skinned it to fit the new skin but there are some problems.
First, you still need to use the menu button to call it and secondly, when the genre bar displays the focus is on the genre window, everything else like page forward/back etc. is useless until a genre are selected.

This is more or less what I want to achieve. I want to add the a genre bar as a quickjump to a genre filter like the center section of the image with the arrows.

The reason I dropped support for the bar was it wasn't ever working 100% and no one used it. I can look at getting it working again, I will take a look this week.
