Barry im starting to think that E-Touch maybe at fault regarding being non esponsive after being stood untouched for a while, To sort out the problems ive been having with me jukebox hanging and becoming non responsive ive reset the bios back to factory default settings and reinstalled XP, SP3 and updated windows till there were no updates left, Updated me video card drivers and touch panel drivers, re-installed E-Touch. When all that was done i restarted the jukebox and opened up my documents, my pictures, my music and my computer then left it in the windows enviroment for three hours without touching it, after that time i went to the juke and closed all the folders id left open and the juke was responsive straight away, i even reopened the folders just to make sure the juke was responding, I then opened E-Touch and left that to stand for an hour, when i came back to the jukebox it was hanging again and was non responsive, i forced a shutdown using the task manager and started using windows as normal, below is the errorlog

Im having a piss up next weekend with a potential buyer so id like to think this will be sorted
For some reason it's in a loop with the tracklisting, it shouldn't even be trying to call that procedure unless you are going into an album. Do you have random play enabled when this happens?
No Barry i never have random play enabled, at the minute ive loaded the default BnB skin to see if i get any issues cos im starting to think the skin mite be at fault, ive only had it on ten mins so i cant really report any issues yet. I'm now of to do the charts.

Yeah your error log contains repeated requests for thr tracklisting and this is what is causing your lock up i would assume... Why it's repeatedly calling that though i don't know, it should only call that if you click and album cover. What is the jukebox doing during that time?
Ok it looks like you could have been clicking on albums... 27 Entries with that issue so it is getting the issue during a loop, i wonder if it's when it's trying to display the rating stars? I will see what loops through that many times. Could be that something is corrupt as i see you are having issues with searching too.
The juke is playing videos no problem, infact you dont even know etouch is hanging until you try to put more songs on. What happened last night is after leaving it for a while i selected an album and it changed to the track listing screen, selected a song then it hung, Ive now disabled the rating stars just in case. Could the repeated request be coming from us when the juke has frozen and were touching the screen in the hope that something might change?
I'm gonna try upgrading to 8.0.2 to see what happens

No because it is 27 times each time, I assume the issue is when it loops through thre tracks upto the maximum. You could try altering the skin so it only shows 5 tracks and see if the error appears only 5 times.
EDIT: Looks like the issue might be happening when it's working out the play count. The most played might be corrupt, try renaming your history files and see if it works ok then. I am making a new beta you can also try with some tweaks to how the track listing is displayed, should display a little quicker now.
Updating to 8.0.2 didnt help and neither did disabling the rating stars, I have to get ready for me darts night now so i'll try them tweaks tomorrow barry.

OK ive altered the skin so it has only six songs showing and ive renamed the history file to charts, i'll wait an hour or so before checking it
OK ive done that and now ive got another problem, when i touch an album cover and it changes over to the song select page, if i select a song or scroll up or down it will go back to the album veiw, if i touch another album it will go to the last album i picked, heres the errorlog

Somthing is not right with the set up i think you need to rename the folder, re-install and rebuild the library. Something appears to have gone very wrong somewhere, probably the REC is corrupt. Those errors are from when it loads up, probably not finding something in the skin. They shouldn't cause the issues you are seeing.
OK ive re-installed will test it tomorrow and let you know the results.
Ok tested etouch and the last problems reported have been sorted, its bact to hanging now

I'm assuming it's not reporting any issues in the error log any more?
You could try running it without the touchscreen and see if it hangs then, this appears to be something unique to that set up as I have no other reports of it doing this.
Gonna try that now , my knees up is on friday so if it not sorted im gonna try limiting the amount of songs in the queue.

It's odd that you have not experienced this before. I want to get it working as much as you but it's not something I can replicate here. I also suggest you stick with the default skin to rule out any odd behaviour with that.

Are you using the latest blue again skin? I have just uploaded the V8 version. I have also loaded up a new beta with some changes.
Major update Barry, i am using the blue again that was posted a while ago, Ive unpluged the touch panels usb cable and left everything in jukebox mode for almost 2 hours without giving any commands, after that time i was able to select songs and play them without any hanging, i then left it for a further hour and i was still able to select and play songs, So, going back to my original diagnostics, Its me bloody god damn touch panel at fault and not E-Touch, there must be a way of making it stay awake, looks like googles gonna get some hammer tonight Oh well, thanks for your help barry ;D ;D
Glad you at least figured it out.... It could be some conflict with the drivers, do you have the latest VB6 Service Pack installed?
