Title: config in win7 with admin rights
Post by: _Tommie_ on July 26, 2011, 07:45:01 PM
There are some odd things I like to report when using config.

When I run config without admin rights, I cant make a database because there is a write protect error.
But the program runs fine until writing is done, then it stops

When I run config with admin rights, everything is okay, except for configuring the radio section.
When selecting 'radio' in the pull down menu, it just returns to audio.

Also, network mapped drives show correctly without admin rights, but when running config with admin rights, mapped drives dont show up anymore.

I verified this on 2 other machines running W7

Hope you can help.

By the way, E-touch even with some strange things in it is a very nice and extremely costumizable program. havent had a crashing program yet! bravo!

It seems W7 is very carefull with programms writing to there home directory, so for testing purposes, I installed E-touch on a different location, NOT inside the program files directory.

It works better, you do not need to run it as admin to make everything work.
Also Config works better, Radio works now.

I am going to look at moving some of the info out of files and into the registry. Especially things like the freebox.ini as i think it is more practical that way, this should also help the win 7 compatability as we move forward.
