I was curious to see how many are using which processor. Also if any processor offers any significant advantages for Freebox.

Im just running it on a P3 1ghz machine with 512meg of ram. Works perfectly. I dont run video, but I'd suspect that video would run a bit differently.

Pentium III here also for which i just added an option, i only have 128mb of ram in it. All the faster processor lets me do (My Dev machine is a P4 3.4ghz) is run the animations smoothly and searches a little quicker.

Currently me candycab http://www.candy-cabs.com/ (http://www.candy-cabs.com/) has P3 733, 512mb memory, and a 40gig hdd, but, im currently setting up an old emachine770 pc i had gathering dust which is going inside once its ready. Its a P4 2.4ghz, 1gig memory (was 256mb) and 500gig hdd.

I am running it on several processors from a 750 Mhz Duron W/512Mb  to a dual core A64 2Ghz W2Gb ram
the main difference is longer load time and slightly slower animations and album screen changes on the Duron.

my 3rd juke box runs a p4 2.8 1.5ram 500gb hd  cheap 256 graphics card. my first jukebox that i built run  XP2200+,250Gb,256mb ram on board graphics. my second jukebox has a ATHLON 2600+, 512MB RAM, 160GB HD, RADEON 9600. . . I also run it on two laptops both 2.8 p4s 1gb 80 gb hd. my room media centre pc dual 3.4 2meg ram 800gb hd 512 graphics card. plus my downloading computer p4 3.4ht 2meg ram 256 graphics card. I think thats em all. To be honest since barry improved the speed i cant tell much difference  from one to the next all of the computers run on windows xp. my advise is buy the best you can afford and not the cheapest option.

I must stop buying computers off ebay?
