Cant get anything to show on 2nd monitor or karaoke to play lyrics

Hey everyone, have been trolling the forums a bit and haven't seemed to come up with an answer to my problems. Firstly i cant get anything to come up on my 2nd monitor. I think i have all the settings correctly - Its identified as monitor 2, windows extends the desktop to it fine just cant get anything to play. When i have the monitor identified as 1 or 3 i get the box to come up on my main monitor (the one that etouch is using)

Also i cant get the lyrics to load like what alot of people have problems with but nothing seems to help! Ive associated the cdg files with wmp 11, ive tagged them the same as far as i believe, It works fine in wmp 11 but only the mp3 plays in etouch?

Lastly i cant get my 1024x768 skin to stay as defualt it always goes back to 800x600? Is this normal? Or a feature that automatically sets the desired skin?

If memory serves me correctly then quite a lot of us running WMP 11 have problems with getting karaoke working even after installing the plugin that comes with etouch (You have installed this havent you?) im also sure that someone somewhere on this forum has posted a remedy for this problem, Lastly are you clickin on save changes when youve changed your default skin?

Thanks for the reply! Yeah i have installed the driver and even updated to the 4.0 version one. I wasn't getting anything to come up in the version of wmp that came with my xp disc, so i updated to 11, i could always downgrade to a better version if people have more success with it? Also im clicking on save settings button, it saves all of my other changes except the skin size setting

You could try removing the 800x600 skin from the skin folder to see if that works, bareing in mind that when you re-open etouch you'll have a white screen so you'll have to go back into options and choose the 1024x768 and make that your default skin.

That didn't fix my problem but i un-installed freebox and reinstalled it and that seemed to have fixed my skin issue!

Still haven't figured out my dual screen problem which is starting to give me the shits, i have the settings right as far as i believe but its not working. Is there anything obvious that im doing wrong? Do i need to provide some more information to make it easier?

To be honest with you, I put V8 on my juke and i had the same problems with the second monitor settings so i downgraded back to V7, I think its more stable and i never had any problems with it.

Hey there, I dropped it back to the latest v7 but still no luck, im still getting that white boarded box pop up on my main screen! I'm planing on downgrading wmp to v 10 in the morning and hopefully that might sort out the karaoke problem as said earlier!

Ok, you have 2 issues you are trying to solve here at the same time and it's complicating it for you....

1st you need to get the dual screen working. If you have it set for dual screen you should see the WMP vis on the second screen when normal audio is playing. Once you have this set up then it's easy.

You need to open a MP3+G file in WMP and check it plays fine, you might also want to create the file association. It will only play if the included plugin for WMP installed correctly.

Now you should be golden to play the MP3+G files from E-Touch.

Thanks for your help there barcrest, I thought that would have been the case so that's why I wasn't to stressed about the karaoke part of the setup!

My biggest concern is that I can't get anything to play in the 2nd screen, I don't have a problem with any other programs being played on it! I've identifyed it to the same number as windows shows it and even tried it as  number 3 but still no luck! I've tried downgrading to version 7 but no good and I'm about to try downgrading Wmp to v10 or less to try that side!

The mp3+g files work well with my Wmp I have now when I open them directly through the program it's self so I just had the thought that downgrading Wmp is probably pretty useless!

Any other advice?

Ok, lets see..

Do you have the second screen set to show ALL? If not set it to that then set the ID to be 2 and enable it. If you have nothing playing you should see the second screen go black, if it doesn't try changing the ID while it's all enabled until the screen does go black. Make sure the second screen is set to ALL I think that might be where you are having an issue.

you are correct about WMP, if that is playing the MP3+G files you don't have an issue with that.

Hey again, I have the settings as you have suggested and still nothing happens! Tried changing the Id and that but still no black screen! A bit stumped here. I cant even get any movies to show up when i have it set as a single screen.

Can you post a screen grab of your second screen settings so i can take a look.

Take the tick out of show no playing and then try each option id in the drop down, if you hit the right one you should see the box appear. Make sure you don't have anything palying.
