I have had an issue with some of my albums being marked as "Various Artists" on checking, all ID3 tags were complete, however after some testing I have found that artist names with illegal chars in the tag affect the naming within Freebox which causes them to be tagged as "Various"
i.e Christina Aguilera / Redman and was one track, also Faithless & Dido, removed the / and & from all the "Various" tracks and this now works.
Hope this helps anyone with a similar issue.
Also.......is there any decent ripping software that does not use these illegal chars as it seems Windows Media players ripping tool uses these chars!
