Title: Best Ripping and Tagging program?
Post by: ScAtMaN on October 21, 2008, 08:27:48 AM
Morning everyone  :)

I am slowly churning through my collection getting the tags and album art sorted (yawn) for the dozens and dozens of unnamed or incomplete entries I have.

I had been using WMP to copy and attempt to tag the albums but have found that it does not handle the more obscure CD's very well and there is a problem with the album art (folder.jpg dont appear to freebox because there are a hidden system file and the AlbumArtSmall.jpg it generates are very to low res to be used properly for the thumbnail images) So I was wondering what (preferably free) Ripping and Tagging programs do you guys use and recommend?

Personally i think you get what you pay for in terms of tagging and i always recommend and use Tag & Rename. As for ripping I use the now free and excellent Audiograbber.

Yep what Barcrest said.
I just use Magic Tagger along with what he mentioned.

Yup, Tag&Rename does everything I need it to do.
