Hi, i hope someone can help me. i just installed all of my karaoke files on my juke and they displayed in config alright but when i tried to run freebox it came up with the cdg accept tick box thing which i clicked yes but then freebox kept freezing, so i uninstalled and reinstalled freebox, reinstalled media player and then installed the zip again from freebox dir well freebox runs ok but does not display any lyrics. should i be pointing freebox to the cdg files or mp3 files? is there something else i'm missing? sorry i'm a bit new to this, thanks in advance
Do the karaoke files play in WMP on their own?
Hi Barry, nah well sort of, the text comes on the screen with no music if i launch the cdg's in media player. it's a bit odd. maybe i should uninstall media player and karaoke and start again? i'm not sure
What version of WMP and windows are you running? If the karaoke doesn't play properly in WMP it won't work in freebox.
i'm using xp pro with sp3 with wmp11, i installed media player classic last night and low and behold it works fine! but with media player 11 however every time i run a cdg file wmp11 displays a error like "the file failed to download" but if i double click the item in the queue it plays without music. if i open a karaoke mp3 file it just plays music and doesn't attach the cdg file. very strange. my next step is to disable wmp11 support and use wmp9 dunno whether this will work but i'll keep you posted.
You need to be using WMP11
not sure if its possible but seeings as though most people install K-lite, maybe karaoke should be using classic media player
seems to work alot better
