Title: Database creation
Post by: its-smee on February 12, 2009, 10:22:44 AM
I have been using freebox for about a fortnight and finding my way around. One problem I have is when creating the database the audio works fine but when I do the Video, it includes all of the audio files as well.  when I run freebox and select audio It appears ok,. but when video is selected the video files are at the end of the list after the mp3 files.  anyone had this problem or is it me lol.

It will pick up everything under the folder you build on. You need to have your videos seperate otherwise they will be merged like this. I assume you change the library to Videos at the top of the config before building the library on them? If so then you must be building on a folder that contains the audio too...

I have mine like this...

\mp3\albums\*
\videos\artist\*

I build on the MP3 for audio and on Videos for videos.

The mp3's and video are seperate.  Mp3 in d:\audio and video's in d:\video.  when creating the database i select audio or video in top menu bar and select directory in window showing menu structure. I have tried this a few times and re-installed as well, after deleting freebox directory as uninstall does not remove it

Make sure you are using generate database. Also after doing the audio, exit the config and then re-launch before building the video databse. Let me know if that works.. it should.
