I'm planning to buy a fit-PC slim due to it Phenomenal size and build a small kiosk style juke box with it.
This mini PC has the following specs:
CPU: AMD Geode LX800 500MHz
Chipset: AMD CS5536
Display: Integrated Geode LX display controller up to 1920x1440
Memory: 512MB DDR 333MHz soldered on-board
Hard disk: 2.5" IDE 60GB
Ports:
RJ45 Ethernet port 100Mbps
WLAN 802.11b/g 54Mbps
3 x USB 2.0 HiSpeed 480Mbps
mini RS-232 (RX/TX)
VGA DB15
Stereo line-out audio (headphones)
Stereo line-in audio / Mic
Would it be possible to run Freebox with 512 MD DDR memory and the AMD CS5536 chipset.
It can run Windows XP.
The new model coming out soon has faster performance but only with HDMI output.
I have only a VGA connector on my screen. HDMI to VGA/DVI converter cables are very expensive.
Can anyone advice?
Im using an Intel board with an Atom processor () $65 and added a 2Gb memory module for ~$25. Runs great.

I'm not sure if shipping would kill the deal depending on where you are.
Good luck.
Bittorrent, how did your project come out?
Newman, can you please give the specifics of your board, and how well it has been running?
The dual core atom with the nvidia graphics ship (ION) is a nice system and it's cheap. It's actually overkill for the jukebox.
