Title: Stabilize sound volume on Video files
Post by: Pinball on August 26, 2009, 11:55:34 PM
Is there an easy way to get all the vido files I am loading (mostly from Youtube) to play at the same sound volume level.

Some video volumes seem to be about where the music volumes are. Others are very soft , about 1/3 to 1/2 as loud as the normal Music volumes.

Is there some option somewhere that standardizes the volume outputs on videos played on E-touch?  It will be a pain to need to keep adjusting the volume slide control for each video and then subsequent music selection.   :'(

Thanks,

Randy

There is a program like mp3 gain i think it's called vidgain or something that might help you. I have the same problem but have not had change to look into doing anything about it. The best solution would be through hardware but it's expensive.

This sounds like the kind of tool I  am looking for, but all my vid files were converted to MP4s from flv to run on E-Touch. Is there an MP4 gain program??

I've just posted a question to barcrest regarding this very same subject, ive been told ffdshow comes with a sound normalizer, If ticked its supposed to make a hell of a differance.  I was supposed to ask if etouch would work alongside ffdshow but i forgot to ask.

ffdshow runs resident in your windows system so in theory it works on ALL audio that your computer is outputting using any software.

I've been meaning to try this but haven't had time.
