Title: feature request. . please be kind with me...
Post by: Shaggydo on January 31, 2010, 06:04:14 AM
im setting up freebox for videos, so far i fixed my mp3s, and got fairly collection of karaokes, now its time to deal with videos. I really dont like the way the videos are presented, as they are simple files, keeping it simple im asking if its posible to change the layout of videos and present them as a list instead of the regular way, why? i think its easyer to browse videos in a list tha tdoing it on empty scuares that dont have a cover. its just a suggestion.

I find having the "empty squares" is an incentive to find some form of picture. even if you cannot find the actual image of a particular single i use a pic of the artist and using photoshop put a name on the picture. you also have the text above and below the sguare. I use google images and it finds most things. within this forum are various links to some good fanart sites.

This can be done but there's a skintool bug prefenting me to do this right now. I've asked Barry to have a look at that. When sorted I'll create a cover file for this.

Bing.com is another good way to find covers. I use it all the time. I only have about 400 of them so far but getting a lot everyday from youtube.

Have you tagged your videos with the non mp3 tagger. You also need them in sub folders like the mp3's so you will need to create virtual albums of sorts.

Like Barry said above you probably don't have it setup in sub folders like your music and karaoke and you can get rid of the "*.tag" mask it's looking for the actual video file not the tag.
