I have had the software running for six months in a commercial environment. One thing I have noticed is that the software after having thousand of songs played seem to start slower every time. After windows starts (with no problem) the jukebox program take up to ten minutes now to start. Is there a way to fix this or is it the play list log that need to be reset?
10 minutes to start up? No issues like that here. I have over 50,000 tunes and sometimes they play random or user picks. Usually a 1-2 minute start up and that includes Windows XP using instant sheller.

I have 60,000 songs in the database and when I first installed the software it only took 1-2 mins for start up. But 6 months down the road with over 6000 songs that have been played. Its not taking 10 mins. It progressively go worse the more songs that were play. The only thing I could think of is a file log that is checked on start up. I'm using XP and this computer is dedicated to the freebox software.
You could rename the user_history and see if it loads quicker. That is loaded at start up to compile the hot hits/top 10 and as that is increasing in size it might be causing the load times to be extended.
Thank you Berry. I went into that file and deleted everything but the last 30 days, saved it and back to a 2 min start up ;D
Maybe i need to add an option to archive off the old info, this is something i was thinking of doing.
