Title: Can i use LRD Files for karaoke?
Post by: Diakatarnis on December 09, 2010, 10:01:30 PM
Hi Again :) im getting slowly closer to my goal.

Quite a few of the existing karaoke fiels are mp3 with either a kar or lrc file with them, the cdg's seem to play ok, but i cant get either of the other files to play in the jukebox, if i click the files outside of the jukebox windows media plays them fine.

Any ides?

Many thanks :)

Never heard of lrc files. Did you try and change the extensio to kar on one and see if it would play?

their some type of lyric files and work fine on media player, just not in jukebox. I've tried changing ghe file type to no avail. Any other ideas? theres about 1200 songs on here and i cant really do anything with them :S

I wonder if E-touch supports *.kar or *.lrc, but if they play in wmp
try to add *.kar and *.lrc in the CONFIG MASK, THEN GENERATE OR UPDATE.
Good Luck.

Doesn't look like its going to work:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LRC_(file_format)

Also, you could try here:  http://www.vividlyrics.com/

But it really does look like this is out of the scope of the program...

LRC are lyrics files they are not true karaoke. KAR files i think are midi based and do not sound great. Really you want CDG rips, these are the best and are the same you find in bars. You would be better off finding CDG versions of the songs you have.
