Title: ffdshow and wmplayer
Post by: leeclark2612 on December 14, 2010, 02:17:26 PM
Anyone know how i can force media player 11 to use ffdshow for mp3 files? ive managed to get media player classic to output in mono, which is exactly what i was looking for, but when i play a song on juke, it uses media player in stereo instead?!

Cheers in advance,
Lee

Switch to the legacy engine in freebox, open up the freebox.ini and change the engine to 0 to use the old active movie engine and see if that works.

tried that, it works but if you're using random, the songs just keep skipping...

Ah, yes there were a couple of bugs with that engine that crept in because it was no longer used. I have since fixed up the issues using engine 0 in the current V6 release.

i feared you'd say that, cant afford the extra £ at the minute to upgrade...how easy were the bugs to get rid of? i'd pay just for that  ;D

Well i couldn't fix V5 as I don't have a good set of source for it now, all I can say is if you get chance to upgrade then it should be fine. Sorry  :(
