Is it possible to edit a V7 skin with the V5 skin tool? eg: will the V5 skin tool recognize all pages of a V7 skin and show them all in the skin tool.

No, it was coded before a lot of the V7 stuff was added, you should always use the latest skintool.

No, it was coded before a lot of the V7 stuff was added, you should always use the latest skintool.
Normally i would barry but im having problems with my V7 Skin tool, it will save the skin on the pc that i do the skinning on but when its copied to another pc all the saved skinning is lost eg: the skin i sent to you was suppossed to be the finished thing and you also got the first copy but somewere something went pear up

Well i assume you are using windows 7 then and it's saving the files somewhere else. The skintools all work the same so V7 should work the same as V5 skintool.
Hi Barry, yes i am using win 7 and would you have any idea where the files are being saved,is it something ive done wrong? Heres my process, make the buttons, save as a gif or bmp or jpeg and give it the name of the button its replacing, i do the same for the screens, size for size, name for name and format for format, i then copy and paste the default skin Black_and_Blue_gif_V7.0(1024x768) from the skins folder to the desktop, i open this file and also the images folder, i then open the folder that has all the new buttons and screens in and highlight every thing then drag n drop the images into the default images of Black_and_Blue_gif_V7.0(1024x768) then i have a slow flick through them to make sure nothing is missing, close the folder and rename it and drag and drop it into the skins folder of etouch. Next i open e-touch, options and click on update skin list, then i click on the selected skin tab and select my skin then load skin then save settings. I'll then shutdown etouch and open the skintool click ok when it ask's to load current skin and get to work making sure that every page that i work on is saved by going to the file controls/settings and clicking on save skin also clicking on ok on the next two box's that pop up. When my work is done i'll open Etouch again and check every page to make sure everything is as i want it.
