Title: flv not outputting to 2nd screen
Post by: Thalfura on May 22, 2011, 02:00:43 AM
ok this one has blown me away. i have tried everything.

New clean install of win7 ultimate.
Installed Kazaa lite codec pack full options.
Installed Etouch.
Ran config for all my music video's
At this point everything seemed to be working perfectly.

Problem:
When you choose a file that has a .flv extension it won't play on the second screen. it actually won't play at all. it trys and then just skips it.
All other file types work and output to the 2nd screen perfectly.
If i disable the 2nd screen the .flv's work and output video on the 1st screen.

Troubleshooting:
I have uninstalled codec pack restarted and reinstalled. still happening.
I have uninstalled etouch and reinstalled. same issue. rolled back to last Beta and still happening.
Tried .FLV in WMP and WMP Classic and they all work perfectly.

Has anyone else had this problem. Iam stumped now. Tried everything i can think of but still won't work.

Cheers in advance.

Andy

Try and play one in WMP with WMP on the second screen.

Seems there are a few funny things going on with windows 7 and it seems to be different users have different problems  ???

Getting the videos to play is a codec issue and this seems to be more luck than skill getting the right ones installed.

Ano Barry, One could look for years getting the right codec for all the videos to work, But when you have thousands of videos it easier to stick to win 7 and have seperate karaoke software
