Barcrest ,I wonder if is posible, i want to build a cheap small jukebox with an old touchscreen pc i have laying around, and all fo the extra features and fancy stuff etouch has it makes my pc works a bit slow.So i wonder if is posible tha you can build a light version , one that only plays the music and nothing more but with the looks of version 7. I hope you can make this posible. thanks for any help.
Maybe get rid of all the stuff on the operating system you don't need or get a a tiny xp operating system I think they call it. As for etouch ,maybe tone down all your options: 800x 600 skin...6 covers...small jpegs...mp3's only..No fanart..No different libraries..turn off generes, search, etc.
Or use an older version of E-Touch like V2 and just use the V7 skin.
5.0.36 was a great stable version, give that a try. The stock skin looked good too.
