Title: Fan art - would I have to customize a skin for this?
Post by: modessitt on March 05, 2012, 12:08:21 AM
When I don't have fan art showing, the artist and song are in nice rounded black bubbles.  However, when fan art is showing (especially in now playing), the artist and song are in white lettering over the picture.  Most of the time that makes it impossible to read.  I'd like the artist and song title to stay in those black bubbles superimposed over the fan are, or have the fan art above them instead of stretched over the entire screen.  I don't see any options other than turning them on or off.  Will I have to edit a skin in order to get this kind of feature?

Alter the fanart transparency settings if the text is too hard to read.

As I'm screwing around with it some more, I've found that the fanart doesn't show on the track select screen for bands that start with "The" and the check is marked to sort it with "The" at the end - i.e. "Beatles, The".  However, once I select a song, then the "add it to queue" screen shows the fanart because the track in question is tagged as "The Beatles", just like the fanart file.

Is this a bug?  Or will I need to make a copy of the fanart image and rename the second one "Beatles, The"?  Not sure if I can put commas in file name titles.  I guess I could uncheck the option so it sorts as "The Beatles" instead of "Beatles, The" if I have to, but I'd rather not.

Thanks for your help or comments...

I just have fanart that is also named "beatles, the" as this was easier to make a copy of the file. I think this has been an issue for a while that I have just over looked probably because i just copied the fant art files.
