Title: Credit Module Runtime Error
Post by: Gaucho on June 03, 2013, 02:56:22 PM
Runtime error 62
Input past end of file

Is there a quick fix for this please?

Don't know why it has started, unless it was me adding credits through coin settings.

It sounds like one of the credit data files has become corrupt try deleting credit.tmp

Nope, tried deleting that and didn't work.

I'll try a re-install.

Nope, that didn't work :tommy

Think maybe it's gonna have to be an uninstall delete folder and re-install.

Obviously I'll keep a copy of attract, collections, history and skins folders plus my scripts and license file so they don't need re-doing.

Any other files I should keep?

make sure you don't delete your images from the genres, year and artists folders if you have them. Seems odd that it's doing that though I don't know why it would suddenly start acting up.

Before a complete uninstall I decided to delete the credit module .exe and anything else related and reinstalled over the top. Seems to have fixed it, i.e. no runtime error and I can edit the settings etc. Only trouble is I have forgotten what I put in the middle boxes.

For example I have Coin 1 = V - blank - blank - 5 credits. Do I need anything in the middle as etouch is not picking up coin inserts although they register in notepad.

O.K. sorted, I had made an earlier back up of credit.dat, bonus credit, key credit etc which when restored seem to have fixed everything.

I think I know what I did wrong in the first place now, I was fiddling with my start up folder and dragged the etouch app there which in Win7 doesn't actually create a short cut but tries to start etouch in that folder which seems to have confused quite a few settings. I have since just edited my batch file to include no-mousy and etouch as it was taking to long to load with the config lines in there as well. I only intend to update the jukebox once a week so have created another batch file which is used under the run command in etouch general settings.

You can set E-Touch to shut down at a set time and run the command to rebuild the libraries and then re-launch the jukebox. Don't know if that would help.

Unfortunately not as the time the Jukebox gets turned off can vary day to day by up to three hours.

Collections glitch is back, works for a while and then stops and just asks for credits to be added as before. Every other way of selecting a track works. Starts working again after a re-boot but then after a little use of the jukebox stops again.

That is something odd going on then hmmm... Are they trying to add an album to the queue, is it only on add to queue or play now? Is it only once and artist limit or song limit has been reached? Although it will seem like the same bug to you it's something else but is tied to the collections somehow.

Just add to queue Barry and only effects collections, selection via album view/search etc no probs.

No probs since my last post but I'll let you know if it happens again.
