Okay, I have my new I3 PC with the Hanspree touch monitor running Windows 8.1 all working and ready. Tomorrow I play to configure the Etouch demo. Right now I have thousands of MP3's in various folders. Come of them are in album folders. My question is what is siggested way to start building the Etouch databse of songs. I thought about copying the album folder over to a main music folder. For instance under the main music folder I would have a Fleetwood Mac folder and a 10CC folder and a Rush folder etc......is that generally how I should be doing this? What happens if I simply dumb all of the songs into a folder? Will Etouch not care and sort via the tags? That would be the easiest thing for me to do as I can slowly add songs as I get the tags cleaned.

etouch works with tags, but i will sort them out anyways. You do have to have the "use album title with compilations" option on the config if you have some compilations, otherwise they would apear as "varius artist"
i keep my collection in the following order
Content/music/artist name-album name/mp3s
content/karaokes/artist name-album name/cdgs and mp32

Great info. Thanks. One more question. If I have Album in the tag correct and say the 12 tracks of the album all have the same album tag will it show up as all 12 songs under one album or would they have to be in in one separate folder?

Each album needs to be in it's own folder.

now that i think about it, your right, otherwise it will comout as varius? let me make a test and ill comeback with results.
i can confirm, as long as they are properly tagged, etouch will sort them out for you, i would definitly sort them out to have a better control, but even if compilations albums are tagged as compilation, etouch will show them as one album...great

Click on a cover and you will see all the songs, each album needs it's own folder. Also if you don't have individual folders you can't have artwork for each album.
