Hi All

Do any of you guys use windows 7 for your jukebox? I've been running Etouch now for a couple of years with no real issue. But I've started to see a lag when you press an album cover to select a song to the point where on some occasions I've pressed it again then the screen fades white and shows not responding. I've checked windows update and there haven't been any recent updates I don't use it online. I tried it on another machine I have and it periodically does the same. I hadn't updated Etouch for a while I've now tried but the latest betas and it still does it.

Is it connected to the internet? I had seen this issue before and I am sure it was to do with the RSS feeds at the top of the track listing page. I know you say you don't use it online but I just wondered if it was cabled up to the net.

I've found the rss information at the top of the tracklisting page. Is there any way to disable it?. I've unchecked everything on online options but it's still there?

That shouldn't cause a slowdown unless you don't have internet access. Then it takes a while before timing out, it can be turned off but right now i can't remember the option I will take a look. If the online stuff is turned off it should be disabled anyway so I will look at the code.

Hi Barry

I've turned off the RSS feed but I'm still experiencing a lag. The response time going from page to page is fine and also when you select a song is fine, the auto back on selection has no lag. It's just when you select an album there's about a 6 or 7 second delay. I've experimented with different albums checking whether the number of tracks per album could be causing it, but there's no difference between an album of 9 tracks and 1 of 20+ tracks. Really bizarre.

This is linked to the RSS feed, this is the only thing that can cause that and once it is turned off it will be fine I just can't remember right now where it is. Have you removed the address from the line so it's blank? That should ensure it doesn't work.

Ignore the last few lines with regards to the online providers error. I deleted the contents of that to see if that would do anything . I've since restored that file. I've deleted the Default RSS and Sport RSS Web addresses but still the same.

Take the tick out of use artists RSS in the online options and that disables it. I just had a check and that should fix your issue.

i think I've sorted it.

I'd already unticked the RRS option but it was still the same. I've since disabled my wireless adapter and that seems to have sorted it.

It wasn't just the RSS option but also the use artists RSS checkbox. At least you have managed to sort it out now.
