Barry, can the search bar be transparent? I am playing with a skin idea was wondering if it can be made a gif to support transparency?
To do that would involve me changing the whole bar.... You can make it transparent of sorts but copying the background and making that the back of the bar. The slider is like the buttons and supports transparency of a sort.
