Title: First jukebox project
Post by: takemehome on August 12, 2009, 11:41:36 PM
I started my first build about four weeks ago. I designed and drafted the concept using a CAD program:

The physical build is nearing completion. It stands about 5 feet tall.

This has taken MUCH more time than I originally anticipated, but has been a lot of fun. So far I have at least 80 hours into this project. Much of that has been learning woodworking, as I had very little experience before starting this.  I will continue to post pics as I wrap up construction.

The next stage will be lights. I'm hoping to do some colored LEDs around the top and along the front that respond to the music (dim and brighten). I think I have the circuit figured out on paper, but have not started breadboarding yet. If anyone has done something like this before or has seen a product that might work, any help would be appreciated.
