Freebox Jukebox

The cost is now $35 for the full version for home use, $70 for lifetime and $250 for the commercial version.

How do we purchase the product and how do we change the demo version to the full the full version.

Once you have made a donation you will have access to the full releases that you can then install over the top to make it full.

I sent it as a PM on here, Look at the top right where it says private messages.

Each album must be in it's own folder.

It sounds like you have 5 albums that are various artists, hence the scroll bar staying on V

When you run the config it will show you how many albums you have and the paths to them. Setting it all up is pretty straight forward, you just need to launch the config and point it to your music and click generate. There are more options for generating thumbnails and the genre libraries etc but to get up and running quickly you only need to do a generate.

If I donate and get a license is it tied into a PC, or can I move it to new hardware once I build my jukebox?

Only a commercial licence is tied to the hardware.

Sorry to be a pain in the butt but please could you tell me the difference between the $35 and $70 versions are please.

I know that the lifetime has access to betas and exclusive skins, but how long does the public license or indeed the commercial license last for?

There are some aspects that need clearer indication for the general public.

They all last for as long as the site is running. $35 gives you access to V9 and earlier, if V10 comes out then you wouldn't have access to that if you only went for V9. Lifetime members get access to everything. Commercial is the same as Lifetime but also enables the coin mech to be used on a single machine.

I'm already a member what will it cost me to do lifetime membership?

I've just donated and need to know how to get access to the full version.  I noticed in the demo that there is no 1920x1080 skin option will there be one in the full version or is it possible to use an earlier version with this option.

Firstly congratulations on an excellent name. What happens now is as follows :

1) Your forum account will be upgraded to either a supporter or lifetime depending upon how much you donated.
2) Once your forum access has been upgraded then you will be able to see the private releases 9.18 is the latest version
3) In the meantime you might want to uninstall the demo version or carry on using until you get your serial number

Barry should possibly do this in the morning, but I cannot say this for 100% due to it being Christmas Eve tomorrow. I would say to have a bit of patience in the mean time as if he does not come on in the morning then he might not be back on until the 27th/28th as you can appreciate it is Christmas time and some people do go away,

I am not saying 100% that this will happen though, as I say he might be on tomorrow morning as probably he has checked his emails.

If you need any help, then there is information on the forum already and if you cannot find anything, feel free to ask.

Thanks for that.  It took me 2 days to get registered for the forum as it would not send me a cofirmation email.  Had to request one a few times.
Was hoping for the software for xmas as there are a few parties in my garden bar and this software would have been a good addition so fingers crossed.

Thanks a bunch. Quick question: Can I install over top of the top or should it be uninstalled first.

Uninstall first, and then reinstall, you need to be able to enter the reg key.

Obviously install outside of c:\program files and make sure that you run the installation as admin.

I just replaced my old computer with a new one. So I need to reinstall etlich. I wonder where I can get a copy of the current full version (10.1.8). I used some v9 on the old computer and donated a few years ago.

If I need to "redonate", just tell me where :D

You would need to redonate at the main page. It is $35 then you will become lifetime subscriber then.

Version 9 is still good if you want to save money before chrimbo.

Just say in here if you do donate so Barry can update your forum access so you can download.

Another question: just tested the v10 beta, how do I turn off the voice reading out every single song when starting to play?

You need to go into etouch directory, find TTS voices and then delete or rename that text file.

Just to add

1) You might have to turn off anti virus/firewall software sometimes it gives a false positive reading

2) Run install as admin and install outside of c:\Program Files - So ideally c:\Jukebox or something similar

3) Once installed run EVEYRTHING as admin

I reported your post to moderator as that would go to Barry and maybe the mods.

At the moment, you might have to wait a little bit longer. However, do not leave it for too long.

We dp not know what is happening with this Corona virus outbreak at the moment, it might have affected Barry in some way, or something else in life.

I would give it a week, even though should not be that long, and if need be file a dispute with Paypal and get your money back.

However, just allow him a bit more time in case something has happened his end.

What is the cost for v10 and what is the lifetime include?

You are listed as a commercial operator so I cannot answer you on a commercial basis.

The non commercial is $35 and $70 respectfully

Hi,

Once Barry has seen your donation, then you will get your details via email or private message on here.

Install outside of c:\program files so in c:\jukebox - run installation as admin

Once installed enter your details and that will unlock everything

Once installed run everything in that folder as admin, such as config and main program.

Hello Barry and others involved in development and maintenance of Freebox Etouch Jukebox,

Wanted to let you know that I've been using Etouch (Freebox) since version 2.x and our family has enjoyed it for years.  In fact I am still on version 3.0 because I could not find a Diner skin for a newer version and because it continues to work great for our needs.

For my install, which was done 13 or 14 years ago, I cut a hole in my kitchen wall and did a custom built-in of an old touch screen I purchased from Ebay that came off a piece of medical equipment.  The controls for this screen run off the serial port.  It is so old school.  The PC running Freebox is just an old E-machine XP computer which replaced the earlier and failing Windows 7 PC.  As this PC is only used for the jukebox it continues to run nearly flawless as well.  The PC is connected to another old piece of technology, my Niles based in-house sound system using their speakers, controllers, and receivers.

Even with the technology that is available today with tablets and phones, this old school install continues to get compliments and looks of wonderment from friends and family who see it.  They are just so amazed with the jukebox and how easy it is to use. 

I'm just so impressed that this project is still actively being supported and am so appreciative of all the hands on help you personally provided.  My family has and continues to really enjoy using Freebox/ETouch. 

Although I think I am already a lifetime member it had been quite a while since I last donated.  So I just signed up for another lifetime membership.  You should have the payment in your paypal by now.

I have not seen this skin but,
I would be willing to try. Mind you the new version has more features now, so more than likely there could be more button needed then a  v3 skin.
I will need nice pics of all the different screens (higher quality will be easier to zoom in to get details). Also what resolution your screen runs at or better yet .. send a copy of that skin folder to my email address in my profile. I have just started this week with this program but have plenty of experience with things like game mods and graphics.
