I literally found this about 2 minutes ago, had a very quick play but seems excellent for what it is http://www.abscreensavers.com/ it is donation wear, I am not sure if it comes with any nags of yet.
It is animated so includes fades, wipes and a few other bits and bobs that I have not played with much yet.
Again another feature that I have not tried is that it can play avi files as well, or some form of movie file.
It is a lot more complex than the standard windows photo screen saver.

as far as I can remember mark wmp picture viz does a very similar thing however not a screen saver but used it in etouch years ago was quite cool
Yeah, I was looking for picture viz but couldn't find it while I was looking, came across this instead, I have got it on the office PC but playing with the arcade PC at the moment for a break.
The problem with picture viz is that I do not think that it plays movie files, but shall have a look and see if I can find it now.
Ah picture viz is for windows media player, it is not a screen saver completely different thing lol
