hi new here and trying to understand it all i am using v10 and ehub skin but was wondering if it was possible to add years to genre ie 50s,60s,ect
know there is a decades chart but wanting my own music grouped in this order

You would need to re tag your files if I am understanding you correctly
I have 80's Pop Music, 90's Pop Music etc.
I tag all my mp3's with multiple genres, but that only works on kodi by adding 80's Pop Music\\80's Music\\Pop Music

I used the included cvr creator and made collections of decades. Doesn't take to long but needs updating every time you add an album.
