There is another called Guitar Zero that is a 100% clone, but it may be harder to find as i think sony pulled the links. If you search for it you may be able to find it.

Man do a search for Frets on fire song pack and you will find gigs of soungs available.

There is a mod that I saved at home that you can use a Sony Playstation 2 Guitar.

For anyone interested I found the Guitar Zero Forum http://guitarzero2.proboards78.com/index.cgi (http://guitarzero2.proboards78.com/index.cgi) it includes the download links for the newest (GZ4) versions/updates. Just need to follow the install steps for .NET and other supporting installs. But will play all of the Guitar Hero 1,2,3 and 80's song packs that can be downloaded from torrents. Looks really cool, I just picked up a Xbox 360 Guitar tonight and have been messing with it, as the install was easy, the game recognized it right away (GZ4, the older version GZ3 has an issue with the XBox 360 Xplorer config)

Added: Plus I just found out GZ4 will play Frets on Fire files also....

Yes, it can use the Guitar Hero or Rock Band Guitar, but I chose to get the XBox 360 Guitar as it already has a USB connector. Here is the link for the steps for install http://guitarzero2.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=20download&action=display&thread=1198720172 (http://guitarzero2.proboards78.com/index.cgi?board=20download&action=display&thread=1198720172) and here is the link for the app download http://rapidshare.com/files/92725346/GZ_Beta_4.rar (http://rapidshare.com/files/92725346/GZ_Beta_4.rar) and here's the update to the install http://rapidshare.com/files/99985215/GZ_Beta_4_-_Update_4a.rar (http://rapidshare.com/files/99985215/GZ_Beta_4_-_Update_4a.rar) Good luck, has been working great for me.

Cool, let me know how it works for you, I've been jammin' the last few days. I just ordered the XBox 360 Wireless Les Paul Guitar, as they have pretty cool skins for them, have a note in to one of the guys to get an AC/DC skin, they have many other skins already on EBay (Iron Maiden, Megadeth... $19.95 + $4.95 for shipping) I attached the picture of some of them.

Edit: Got an email from the guy and he says he can do ANY album cover for a skin, but it's $39.95 + $4.95 for shipping (which isn't as bad for you guys in the UK, almost 1/2 price the way the US dollar is going:)

Does anybody know if Guitar Zero will work on a Win2K machine? Im considering the Wireless Guitar and well want to make sure it will work before I go through all effort.

Kizer,

As long as Guitar Zero can run on 2K and the drivers for the guitar are there, should work. Might want to post on their forum to see if anyone is using 2K.
