Title: Jump to letter on video
Post by: griff4405007 on June 21, 2021, 02:54:24 PM
I had to get a new jukebox computer, touch screen on the old one took a crap. So I did a fresh install on a new to me Dell running windows 10. I installed the latest version of e-touch(10.2), I had 10.1.0.9 running on the old computer with windows 7. I'm having problem with the jump to letter on video, it works fine for audio. It puts the jump letter on the screen but does not change the albums. When i installed I put e-touch in the c: directory, installed as admin and run as admin.

Thank you for any help.

If this was myself, and I was bug testing, then I would install the version that you knew was working before hand and see if that works on Windows 10.

If that works, then straight away sounds like a bug in the new version.

However, if the old version does the same on Windows 10, then it might still be a bug that hates windows 10.

The last resort would obviously be to install windows 7 and test that.

Regards

Mark

My guess is that you have a video that has a non standard character as the first letter. Open up the config and look at the list of albums in advanced mode. Does the first one listed have a non standard character as the first letter? I did try and fix this issue a while back but if there is an obscure ascii character it can occur. Use the none mp3 tagger to fix up the tag manually.
