Skin Support / Skintool still buggy

Last post by Mark Norville - May 24, 2026, 08:28:02 AM

Well 2026 and 10.20 skin tool is buggy as hell.

I am trying to start a new skin and I have tried multiple times, you cannot see the cover files for the albums like you should be able to because you need to see them to be able to move them into position.

I tried the old trick of using another skin's cover file but again that does not work.

All of these bugs were in the Skin Tool years ago at least two now and still not been fixed.

I am going to keep trying but I know that I am going to throw it out of the window at some point because I am skinning for my arcade machine as well, and that is far more important than the jukebox.

I notice that on album view I have some weird thing that should not be there, the best way of describing it is like having dead pixels on a monitor, it should not be there.

Just a shame that none of these bugs that were reported years ago have been fixed.

Regards

Mark

Well the spam filter never worked, I have just reported two, or three if I report myself lol

  cool

Good to see you again John. I hope you are well? I am about a week or two weeks from setting up the jukebox. I am just doing my Arcade PC at the moment, installing all my games onto hard drives ready to start on Launchbox and emulation.

I can then hook up the jukebox and vertical PC build that I now have and put the monitor into vertical mode so that I can have a refresher on skin tool and hopefully with the help of AI then I can hopefully make better graphics.

Well that is the plan, but all the best laid plans often mess up lol

General Discussion / Vertical Music Posters

Last post by Mark Norville - April 29, 2026, 06:58:06 PM

I am doing vertical images for my jukebox, so if you are using a vertical display hopefully these images will suit your jukebox.

If you have anything that needs to be done, send me a private message and if I have time, I can try and get something done for you.

Hopefully this shows, been a long time since I have done something like this.

I will be adding more as and when I do them and it will be all genres.

Drop me a mail, I am not sure if I have those really old versions myself. I do have an archive on backup drive somewhere so I can take a look.

Finally found where Windows 11 has hidden the files.  Look in  Users \ Appdata \ Local \ Virtualstore \ Program Files(x86) \ E-touch jukebox 10 ... It's as if they don't want you to find it

It ends up there is you don't run the exe's as admin. I mean right click and run as admin or set under right click preferences and select run as admin.

If you don't run them as admin then you will see some odd behaviour.
