HI everyone

I have recently aquired a large selection of karaoke mp3 & cdg files and now want to incorporate them into my jukebox V6.
They are all single selections not off any 1 particular album and I would like to organise them the same way I have organised my normal mp3's which are tagged as Hits Of The 60's, Hits of the 70's etc.
I want to organise them into decades such as Karaoke Hits Of The 70's etc.

I've been looking for a tutorial to show how to setup karaoke properly but can't locate one I can understand in the forum.

My questions are:
1) Can I organise the karaoke files the same as my mp3's?
2) I know how to change the names of the mp3 files using mp3tag but can i simply rename the cdg portion using xp rename to match?
3) How should the folders be created in My Documents? I current have my mp3 albums under My Documents/Jukebox Music/Hits Of The 70's etc...I created a separate folder for the Karaoke tracks in My Documents however E-Touch would not pick them up (wouldn't show under the karaoke button) and instead generated a library again from all my existing mp3's...should the folder be placed elsewhere?
4) Do i just create the jpg's for the album covers as I have done for my mp3's?

Thanks for all your help

Yes it will work the same.

Yes, as long as the CDG matches the MP3 name it will work.

Where you have jukebox music create a folder called jukebox karaoke.

My Documents/Jukebox Karaoke/Hits Of The 70's

And build the karaoke DB on this

My Documents/Jukebox Karaoke/

Thanks for the response

Sorry to be a pain with all the questions but this forum is very helpful with the answers  :)

Does the cdg file play automatically when you select the karaoke track or do i have to change something in settings?
Will it use the whole screen (this is preferable of course) as I won't be using a second monitor?
Is there any need to put the word [Karaoke] after the song title?

Thanks again

Barcrest

Build the karaoke on the karaoke library so you can tell them apart. It will show on the now playing screen but you will have to click the little window to make it full screen. The best set up is to use 2 monitors really as with video.

Thanks again

What I meant was that I will be able to tell the tracks apart because they will be in different folders and I'm assuming when I hit Audio button the the jukebox it will bring up the mp3 library only and when I hit Karaoke button in the jukebox it should only bring up the karaoke files....am I correct in this?

To setup the library properly do I "Import" the files rather than "Generate albums" in the configuration window?

Yes you are correct clicking audio or karaoke will display the relevent library. You need to do a generate but make sure you have picked karaoke from the drop down in the config.

I don't think there's a plugin zip cdg for WMP.

No i would have to have code to extract the zip or read the files from it and this is not easy.
