Howdy,

I was recommended this program from a friend and wanted to see how this works.  What I'm looking for is simply a program I can install on my "server" that has my music files and to have it play right on that computer.  I then want to be able to control that computer from my laptop via installing the software as "viewer" or using a web interface or something like that.

The item on the Features list that looks to explain hit says:
Networked Jukebox Master/Terminal (Allows the use of multple jukebox terminals to add songs to current queue on master jukebox)

Can someone tell me how this works exactly so I know if it does what I think it does?

Thanks.

Tamsy

There is a few ways of doing this...

VNC server client running on your actual host machine and then VNC viewers running on any PC that you want to connect on.

Similar method to above is TeamViewer would also allow you to connect to the host locally but also through the internet. They have a iOS platform for this software also so you can use your iPhone or iPad also. There also is a method of using the iPad to control the host system - http://www.freeboxjukebox.com/Forum/index.php?topic=3475.0 they also recommend a app that sends touch screen touches to the host.

Network Master would be your host and the terminal (with the music shares set up the same as the host) i.e. through SMB shares. So when a song is requested on the terminal it sends it through to the host. Thats the idea i have of it anyway... maybe someone else can post more details of the exact setup.

I'am personally going to implement both solutions, I will have a virtual machine running on my file server that is hosting all my music for my jukebox, this will have teamviewer or a touch app along with etouch on it if I decide to get a iPad, this would be my terminal, and sending music request to my host (jukebox). Prob would function great during parties.

Or you could pick up a MCE remote control or something and then program keystrokes to do extra stuff when your in IR range of your host system.

You might need to donate to get a full license to the program.....
What's playing on my jukebox now...
