Weird one this, in Album view instead of showing the artist as various, it picks the artist from the first track on the album.

Once I click on the album the track listing screen is correct and gives the album name and artist as various.

It must be that track listing and album view get the artist from different places. Is there a way to fix this as I have a few compilation albums.

Shows as compilation in config (1) and if I click on the compilation album it sort of clears my label 18 issue (see seperate thread).

O.K. just got this on one home made compilation album now.

I have all the "Now Thats What I call Music....." working fine showing various artists.

I created an album "UK Top 40 Singles" and although it has a "1" in the config (= compilation) it still shows the artist in Album View as the artist on the first track, but when I click on the album to show track listing it correctly states "Various Artists"

I created another compilation album "UK Top 40 Singles February" and that worked fine, tagged exactly the same way as my "UK Top 40 Singles".

I've been through deleting everything including records.*, Genre, artists, random.* etc, etc and just can't get it to display right on the Album view.

Installed in the root of a WIN 7 32 bit machine, latest beta. Any suggestions anyone?

Tested on an identical install on a 64bit machine and it works O.K.  :tommy :tommy

How did you call up the album for it to show as the first artist? Does it show in the standard album cover view as the artist?

Best explained with pics.

Standard album cover view and then track listing.

What does it show up as in the config, is it saying various artists there? Do you have a filter on when you are seeing it show up like that in the standard cover view.

No Filter Set.

In Config it shows the album artist as The Saturdays but also has a "1" under the compilation column.

As you can see to the right, the Now albums do show up as various artists in album view.

It has me confused big time.

I can change it to various in config and save the tag, but I have a batch file to update my collection every time the PC starts so it resets it to the Saturdays.

The issue is that it is not showing as various in the config, hmm... What is the directory structure of that album, is there a sub folder in it with more media in? Are there 2 files by the same artist?

No sub folder, directory structure is the same as all the other albums under "My Music"

Identical install on 64 bit machine and it looks O.K. showing as various artists in album view.

Config.ini and batch files are identical the only difference is I have alot more albums on the 64 bit machine (about 134).
