Hey guys, first post here, im trying out freebox, and love it so far, i just dealing with an issue here, i have set up my music so that the mp3s that dont have tags with id3 show in a regular list just like the other albums, i ask at the byoac forums and fordman told me the freebox uses both folder structure and id3 to make the music database, but after a couple of tests i cant get freebox to recognise the non tagged mp3s and i get a whole bunch of music albums with no name or in the varius artist categorie. so far i tried my music structure to be like this

c:\music\artist\album\example.mp3
c:\music\artist-album\example.mp3

I have over 250 gb of music, and i think about 25 porcent dont have id3 tags. on skjukebox i didnt have this problem, all of my music was dysplayed correctly, so i was wondering if is a freebox problem or im mising something..

Thanks for any help.

You really need to fix up your tags. Freebox does require functioning ID3 tags.

I was in the same boat, had to clean up about 300+ gigs of music.
I've found "Tag&Rename" and "bulk rename utility" to be my best friends. It is still going to be a long, tedious process but these programs have saved me tons of time...

Same here, Tag&Rename saved me alot of time.  Directory structure is also key to a successful migration into FBox but you'll want to do that anyways for whatever system you get into with your music.
