Music file errors : E-Touch Freezing & Media Player

The new PC I got came w/ Windows Media Player 11.

I have had problems with e-Touch hanging on different songs.

I was getting ready to try MP3Test software to cleanup bad files.

First though , I went to my desk top system where all the music came from and just clicked on the music files.  Media Player 11 started on my desk top model and the files played fine. 

I resent the files to the Jukebox where I had the errors.  I retried playing them and I got errors on media player 11 on that machine.

I downloaded Media Player 10 on the Jukebox machine and all the files play fine.

To recap:

The music file play fine on my desk top PC using WMP 11.

The music file cause e-Touch to hang on the Juke system.

The new PC on the Juke system also has WMP 11 on it.

Trying to play the same files straight through WMP 11 on the JUke PC results in WMP errors, "Corrupt file or invalid format".

Any thoughts?

Are you using XP, Vista or Win7 on the jukebox vs the regular pc?

Both systems are XP. The desktop is an older Compaq and the Juke is the Zotac we talked about before the Holidays.

No problems with "bad or corrupt files or hanging" on the Juke since WMP 10 installed.   

Juke played 5 hours straight yesterday and 3 hours today.

I will just leave it at WMP 10.  Just curious why this would happen using the same song files, the same version of WMP 11, only on the Juke PC.

I need to get some pix posted of this e-Touch Juke.  You are going to love this...
