Hi all!
Originally I was looking to buy a juke, but I stumbled in here and now I have decided I might like to build one.

The cabinet design/build if of no hassle for me, I downloaded the demo and am slowly working on getting my music in order, it seems pretty easy to use in that respect.
My main area of uncertainty is in the electronic setup and computer setup. If my knowledge in these areas is limited (basic) should this be a project to be embarking on?
Essentially I would love to have a big cabinet setup, with a kickarse sound system and lots of flashing lights and stuff.....
Have been browsing around here, and doesnt seem to be a whole lot of info on that kinda stuff.

The flashing lights and sound system part is kinda different from the jukebox program part.

I'm gonna suggest reading this forum for a little better guidance for a cabinet build:

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,5.0.html

There you will learn about building cabinets, adding lights, sound system and the likes. 99% of the lights and sound system are separate from the actual part that plays the music.

E-Touch is basically the catalyst for the music, videos, karaoke & Internet Radio functions.
As for a pc to run E-Touch, I wouldnt use less than a P3 900mhz, 512mb Ram with WinXP. Now that is the low end. With that type of budget setup, you may have issues with videos & karaoke, b ut that would be a hardware issue and not a software issue. You may be able to find a decent Dell Optiplex P4 2.4mhz or better, 1gb Ram off-lease computer from ebay or craigslist for around $65-$100 (US).

Hope the link above stears you in the right direction!

Hey Fordman,
Seems like you are quite a guru on this program from the look of things. Your tutes are tops, as well as the demo of the program which I have been toying with. Thus far, everything is working together well, with the exception that I get error messages popping up, as well as shitty album cover resolution, but I figure these are things that are ironed out in full version, looking at the screenshots you guys dont have that problem.

I guess worst case scenario, I could just build a cabinet to house the computer & touchscreen monitor and get some decent 2.1 speakers....and do some flashy paintwork on the Cab.

Budget is really not that big of a deal, I dont mind spending a few extra $$ for better quality stuff, be it the PC, touchscreen or whatever.

Will check out the links mate, thanks heaps.
